Ivana Jelić Katić is an architect, light artist, and designer based in Belgrade. Her practice moves between light installations, spatial objects, and functional design, exploring light as form, atmosphere, and cultural signal. Trained as an architect, she translates urban and architectural research into human-scale works that balance physical presence with emotional resonance.
Her installations and sculptures have been exhibited internationally, including at the Amsterdam Light Festival, iLight Singapore, the XXI Triennale di Milano, and the Prague Quadrennial, and have been presented in cities such as Vienna, Shanghai, and Grand Rapids. Her work Starry Night was featured in Dezeen’s Top 10 Installations of 2019, while Street Lights was selected as a permanent public artwork in Belgrade.
Working independently after a decade of architectural practice and award-winning competition work, she approaches design through continuity, cultural relevance, and experiences shaped to endure beyond immediate use.
